Peter started on his healing path many years ago when he studied with the Flower Essence Society, the Upledger Institute for Craniosacral Therapy and Eliot Cowan –Founder of Plant Spirit Medicine.

About 20 years ago, Peter was guided to a Huichol Elder from the Sierra Madres of Mexico who accepted him as an apprentice and brought him along through pilgrimaging and initiation as a Mará kame (one who knows).  During this time, Peter was directed to seek out a Nahua Elder who upon Peter’s arrival in his consultorio exclaimed, “I have seen you in the clouds.  You need to be crowned as a weather worker.”

Peter travels to Mexico 4 to 5 times a year to pilgrimage and continue to learn from his Elders.

Both these traditions have a relationship with the Gods and Spirits for healing, ceremony, ritual, counseling and weather.  The Divine brings about healing in our physical realm. Peter calls upon his relationships with the deities that have assisted him through years of pilgrimaging to sacred sites and ask for their assistance to heal.

Initiation into the traditional ways of the Huichol and Nahua people of Mexico bestows permission and duty to engage with the beings of the unseen realms to help individuals and community.

What does it mean to be healed?

It can be as simple as..."Finally, I feel good."

People seek healing, because they have something that is troubling them, challenging them, preventing them from being fully present in life. For others, they are seeking relief from pain.

While Western medical care has made amazing advances in healing physical trauma to one's body, it can be blind to the relationship between spirit, emotion and physical illness. Too often, practitioners don't see the "whole person" and miss the mental, emotional and spiritual traumas and stresses that can be the root of internal disease.

An indigenous Elder said, “You need to see to believe, and you need to believe to see.”

Too often in the West - body, mind and spirit are rarely mentioned in the same breath. How can one heal if these parts of our being are kept separate, or worst, not even believed to exist?

I have been taught by my Elders to see the full person.  This begins with assessing physical well-being, emotional expanse and the connection of their spirit to the world around them.

The gods have shown me how to listen and see the person in this world as well as the unseen world: how their life and challenges are unfolding from the totality of all their experiences. My years of apprenticeship, pilgrimage and initiation have allowed me and committed me to assist people with their own deep healing.
